In-Person Research

Scheduling in-person research

In-person research is available to paying members of the Historical Society, student members, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) congregations researching their own history and ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The amount of research time available is determined by membership level. See "Research Time" below.

In-person research at the Historical Society's Thomas W. Phillips Memorial Archives is available Tuesday through Fridays. Research visits must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.

Your Visit

Getting to the Historical Society
Our address, phone number, hours of operation are all found on the Visiting Disciples of Christ Historical Society page.

Parking
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide free parking for our guests. We reside in a beautiful building, but it is land-locked, with no provision for parking. There is a parking garage behind our building (on Scarritt Place). Metered-parking is also available curbside.

Overnight Accommodations
The Scarritt-Bennett Conference Center is located across the street from the Historical Society and offers reasonably priced accomodations and meals. For more information, visit their website.
